January Fun

We have been going non-stop since we returned from Christmas vacation. Starting this week, I think I might possibly return to normal working hours. YEA! I have sure felt like a horrible mom coming home later than normal almost every night for the past month. At least I know it's temporary. At church I am excited because I am helping to form a new adult group - families with small children. There are a couple people taking the new member's class right now that will join us when they are finished. In total, we will be starting out with about 8 families, so that is really exciting. Our outing this week will be Wed night. We are all going to a mongoilian grill where Nick "Thrilla from the Grilla" Moss will take on our new school principle in a "Iron Chef" cook off challenge. It's a fund raiser to support the local boy scouts. Don't worry, I'll take pictures. :) We joined some of our friends two weeks ago for the Lakeland Pig Fest. It is basically a huge BBQ expo. It was lots of fun, and Nick and I can at least say we are trying to do a better job of getting out with friends and doing things in the community. The drama for this past month was that Natalie got a nasty sinus infection with a touch of puemonia. Fortuately, we caught it just as it was developing, so we nipped it in the bud quickly. The Bella, our special needs kitty, some how messed up her leg again, so I took her into the vet only to hear that "you'll probably want to think about putting her to sleep if she continues to be in this much pain." Fabulous. We got her home and she proceeded to run off for two days. I thought she had run off to die, but lo and behold, here she came back and doing much better. I think this one has 10 lives. She's still eating, drinking, and purring, so Nick and I think that, relatively speaking, she still has a decent quality of life, so it's not time yet. In some ways I'm happy, and in other's I'm ready for the emotional roller coaster to be over. For now, we will enjoy her and love her for as long as she is with us. Other than that, we are same old same old. Nothing too exciting to speak of, but blessed as always. :0) Pretty Girl Fun with Charles Legos! Lakeland Pig Fest She just had to get on top of this giant frog! Reading to Baby and Dolly She LOVES her two scooters and has rode about 100 miles up and down the halls on them this past month. Mmmmm. Chicken leg....(She ate the whole thing.) Play date with Park
